I wrote about Forest Green Rovers, the world’s first vegan, carbon-neutral football club, for The Huffington Post. The photographer Joseph came up with the idea after we collaborated on the cage footballers story for SoccerBible. We went up to Nailsworth, near Stroud, to photograph and interview players, fans, coaching staff, the owner, chef and groundskeeper, then watch a match. Originally we were going to report it for Howler, and the photos did eventually end up there: reuse, recycle. (Although I wrote different copy tailored to its more soccer-literate readership.)
