Vegan Football / Howler

I also wrote about Forest Green Rovers, the world’s first vegan, carbon-neutral football club for issue 17 of Howler, having already written about it for The Huffington Post. This story however catered for a more knowledgeable audience of American soccer hipsters. Pictured is FGR’s signature Q pie, filled with chicken-like Quorn, leeks and almond-milk béchamel. Highly commended by the British Pie Awards, it’s delicious. (I ate one in the interests of journalism.)
